Information Asset Register

The Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) is coordinating the compilation of a Government-wide Information Asset Register (IAR). The IAR acts as a catalogue of information resources held by public bodies; these can be in any form, but are commonly datasets or other 'raw', unpublished forms of information. Each government department or agency is responsible for compiling its own register of the information assets it holds.

We are accredited under OPSI's Information Fair Trader Scheme and operate a system of licensing for the re-use of our information assets. Each item on our Information for Re-use Register is available for re-use under licence.
