This describes our overall approach to consulting on applications for new permits and applications to change them:

Working together agreements

We like to have Working Together Agreements with organisations that help us in our decision-making process. These set out what applications they want to see and how they will respond.

We are currently in discussions with various organisations, agreeing how existing ones could be updated and making arrangements for the activities coming into environmental permitting in April 2010. Existing arrangements will continue until the agreements are made.

On 1 April 2013 the Health Protection Agency became part of Public Health England, from that date the role of the Health Protection Agency described in this agreement will be delivered by Public Health England.
