Apply to the Environment Agency for an accommodation licence for new and existing structures on the non-tidal River Thames.
Structures such as mooring piles, slipways and landing stages are called accommodations and require a licence from us.

An annual licence charge runs from 29 September each year.
- For any private structure standing in or projecting over the River Thames or on Environment Agency-owned towpath land:

When ownership changes
New owners must apply for a licence to retain any accommodations which the previous owner has not removed. Licences for existing accommodations cannot be transferred.
