What local authorities think of our service
We recognise the importance of regularly seeking views from customers so that we can ensure our work remains efficient and effective.
In autumn 2012, we commissioned Ipsos MORI to carry out an independent market research study with a sample of local authorities to understand their feedback and experiences of working with us. We surveyed local authority directors and councillors to understand their levels of satisfaction with our service and partnership working.
We also interviewed local authority heads of planning to gather in-depth qualitative feedback about what they think of the service we give to local authorities as a planning statutory consultee.
The results are positive; you can read the executive summary reports:

Under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 we are required to submit a report to the Department for Communities and local government on our performance as a statutory consultee in England.
