The North West has a diverse environment from industrialised and urban areas in Manchester and Liverpool to the beautiful countryside of the Lake District, rural Lancashire and Cheshire.

These pages will give you some information about the work that we are already doing.

We are also planning how we will meet the challenges over the next five years that are set out in our new corporate strategy Creating a better place 2010-15.
