Sign-up for flood warnings
Floodline Warnings Direct is a free service which sends you a direct message when flooding is expected and may affect your property. Flood warnings will give you time to prepare for flooding which could save you time, money and heartache. You can receive warnings by telephone, mobile, email, SMS text message or fax, whichever you prefer.

Do you need help or support to prepare for flooding?
Some people may need help or support to prepare for flooding. If the Floodline Warnings Direct service is available in your area, we can arrange for any flood warnings for your property to also be delivered to a relative or friend, so that they are aware you may be in need of assistance. You can set this up by phoning Floodline on 0845 988 1188.
You could also consider contacting your local authority, as many of them keep lists of vulnerable people who might need extra support in a flood emergency situation.
Manage your Floodline Warnings Direct account online
If you are already registered for our Floodline Warnings Direct service, you can now add or change your contact information for flood warnings. To access your account you need your customer reference number and an email address. If you don't have these or have forgotten them, please call Floodline on 0845 988 1188.
It is important that you notify us if you move property or your contact details change. This way we can keep our records up to date and make sure that you receive flood warnings in a flood.
Automatic flood warnings
If you live in an area at risk from flooding from rivers or the sea, you may have been automatically added to our free flood warning service. If you have been added, we will have sent you a telephone message or letter to explain that this has happened.
Flood warnings are not available in every area
If you can't sign up for Floodline Warnings Direct there are lots of other things you can do to prepare for flooding. The key is to act now, before flooding happens.
