We are also carrying out other capital works on the waterway during 2011/12, please see below for details. These works will not affect you using the locks during the construction:
- Rushey Paddle and Rymer weir - Replace with 3 dipping gates plus raised cills incorporating lightweight paddles on shorter section.
- Northmoor Paddle and Rymer weir - Replace with 5 dipping radial gates.
- Osney weir - Replace/repair existing hand radials and replace pedestrian walkway.
- Goring Paddle and Rymer weir - Replace with lightweight paddle and rymers and bank works.
- Streatley Paddle and Rymer weir - Replace with lightweight paddle and rymers on submerged penstock.
- Boveney - Continued bank protection works in the Boveney Reach.
- Staines - Bank protection to the river bank adjacent to the gasworks and towpath.
- Shepperton - Bank protection to the weir side of the lock island adjacent to the canoe slalom.
- Sunbury Old Lock - Refurbishment of old lock.
