Incinerator with energy recovery facility at Brig y Cwm, Merthyr Tydfil

Official withdrawal of Covanta’s Environmental Permit application

On 23 November 2011, we received official notification that Covanta Energy Limited have decided not proceed with their Environmental Permit application to operate an incinerator with energy recovery for the Brig y Cwm facility at Cwm Bargoed, Merthyr Tydfil.

This means we have stopped determining their Environmental Permit application with immediate effect.
