Information about Humber River Basin District

The Humber River Basin District (RBD) is the second largest river basin in England and Wales covering over 26,000 square kilometres. The Humber river basin is a broad and varied area with a diverse range of land use. It includes the:

  • urban areas of Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds and Hull, and
  • rural areas including parts of the North York Moors and Peak District.
